On January 18, the groundbreaking ceremony for a vocational-technical school in Kagera Region, Tanzania, a project contracted by China Qiyuan Engineering Corporation under CECEP, was held in Bukoba, the regional capital. Tanzanian President John Magufuli, Minister of Education, Science and Technology Joyce Ndalichako, Foreign Minister Palamagamba Kabudi, Minister for Information, Culture, Artists and Sports Innocent Bashungwa, and Tanzanian Ambassador to China Mbelwa Kairuki joined Ambassador Wang Ke and Economic and Commercial Counsellor Yuan Lin from the Chinese Embassy in Tanzania to attend the ceremony.
The project covers an area of about 9.85 hectares, with a total floor space of more than 6,000 square meters. Boasting facilities such as administrative buildings, office buildings, teaching buildings, and training workshops, the school can enroll 400 students in vocational training at the same time. After completion, it will become the largest and most modern school in Tanzania.
