On the morning of March 4 local time, China Geo-engineering Corporation (CGC) Middle East Company signed a contract with the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) at the headquarters of RCJY in Riyadh, capital of Saudi Arabia, for road and infrastructure construction at the Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries (JCPDI I-2004). This is the Middle East Company’s first 2020 engineering contract successfully inked amid the COVID-19 epidemic spreading across the globe.
The project is located on the coast of the Red Sea at the southwestern end of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Valued at US$42.407 million with a planned construction period of 910 days, the project includes leveling the site, earthwork excavation and backfilling, road construction and reconstruction, rain Water drainage system, industrial water system, wastewater system, drinking water system, irrigation system, electric power, street lighting system, telecommunications and traffic signal system, and landscape design. After completion, the project will greatly help improve local infrastructure and people’s well-being.
