Recently, the hand-over ceremony of the China-aided solar power generation project in Cuba was held at the newly completed solar power plant in Cienfuegos Province, Cuba.
The assistance project includes a 4-MW solar power station in Pinar del Rio Province and a 5-MW solar power station in Cienfuegos Province. As a participant and contributor of the project, China Qiyuan Engineering Corporation was responsible for design review and full-process management of the project. Construction of the power plants began on November 18, 2016 and was completed and successfully passed technical acceptance on April 12, 2018.
The power plants are expected to effectively improve the living conditions of Cuban people, and the smooth hand-over of the project is testament to the close cooperation ties between China and Cuba and marks Qiyuan’s new breakthrough in exploring the Central and North American markets.
