Organized by the ICC UK, the ICC International Trade & Prosperity Week was held virtually from October 19 to 23. Nearly 60 senior experts from financial institutions, leading companies and universities around the world were invited to attend the 10 webinars during the event. On behalf of China’s green finance industry, CECEP Consulting Co., Ltd. sent representatives to participate in the seminar themed “Climate Finance and Green Finance” and deliver a speech.
The “Climate Finance and Green Finance” seminar aimed to explore the future key role of global value chains in developing the world economy, creating jobs, sharing prosperity, promoting innovation and attracting investment, as well as provide a series of policy recommendations on how the global value chains should develop to meet the challenges from trade protectionism, climate change and digitalization. When addressing the seminar, the representative from CECEP Consulting Co., Ltd. introduced the background of China’s construction of a green finance system, especially the progress in promoting investment and financing to address climate change, and put forward proposals on helping financial institutions mitigate risks brought by climate change, promoting innovation of financial institutions in climate finance products, and encouraging enterprises to participate in climate governance.
