On July 9, CECEP Deputy CEO Liu Dajun was invited to the opening ceremony of the summit for entrepreneurs across the Taiwan Strait and delivered a speech at the seminar on cross-Strait cooperation between enterprises engaged in energy conservation and environmental protection.
The Cross-Strait Entrepreneurs Summit is the highest-level nongovernmental platform facilitating economic and trade exchanges between entrepreneurs from the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. At the seminar, an important session of the summit, Liu briefed on the development of CECEP and the company’s participation in the campaign of Greater Protection of the Yangtze River. He remarked that adhering to the principles of openness and win-win cooperation and leveraging its advantages in main businesses, CECEP is dedicated to playing a role as a major pollution control platform involved in the “Greater Protection of the Yangtze River” campaign, and is willing to conduct exploration and cooperation with Taiwan-based environmental companies in the fields of pollution control in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, integrated urban-rural development, and pollution prevention and control through multiple means. He also expressed hope that Taiwan companies engaged in energy conservation and environmental protection will give play to their exceptional advantages in scientific and technological innovation to participate in environmental work on Chinese mainland, especially in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, so that partners on both sides of the Taiwan Strait can jointly promote green development with enhanced power in innovation and governance.
Entrepreneurs attending the seminar also exchanged views on environmental demands and technologies relating to the industries of petrochemical, electric power, metallurgy, and building materials, and agreed on leveraging respective strengths to launch pragmatic cooperation to propel green development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
