A set of national standards called “The performance testing method of bi-circulation unit for low-temperature waste heat recovery and utilization” (GB/T 40286-2021), compiled by 12 institutions under the leadership of CECEP Engineering Technology Research Institute, was recently promulgated upon the approval of the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China, which will be officially enacted on December 1, 2021.
The compilation of the standards began in 2016. Upon repeated discussions and revisions by technical experts over the past five years, the standards passed examinations at various levels before being released. The implementation of the standards will fill the country’s void in performance testing for low-temperature waste heat recovery and accelerate the standardization and application of low-temperature waste heat recovery technology. Moreover, it will provide technical support for relevant government departments in product quality supervision and build a fair and rational technical platform for market competition between enterprises.
