Recently, the Chinese Embassy in Uganda commended collectives and individuals with outstanding performances in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The Eastern African branch of New Era Group Corporation, a subsidiary of CECEP, was granted the title of “Model Collective in Internal Epidemic Prevention and Control.”
Under the unified leadership of the CECEP overseas anti-epidemic work group, the Eastern African branch of New Era Group overcame difficulties in the face of the crisis, implemented science-based measures against the pandemic, and adopted a flexible and rational policy to advance construction projects. It has completed the Kasese market project in Uganda, winning high praise from the local government. The Kasese market is the largest urban integrated market in western Uganda. It can not only help create jobs for locals, but also promote local economic and commercial development.
