CECEP Solar Energy Technology Central China Branch has taken a variety of measures to help reduce poverty through education, marketing, consumption, and technological efforts.
In collaboration with the municipal government of Leping City, Jiangxi Province, the company actively promoted the development model featuring joint efforts of Party branches, enterprises, cooperatives, and poor households in Luci Township. After work resumed from the COVID-19 shutdown, its Leping subsidiary immediately began preparing the raw materials for production to ensure that the poverty alleviation mushroom sticks could be delivered on schedule. Meanwhile, to empower the local villagers, it dispatched agricultural technology teams to poor villages to provide safe production and technology training for impoverished households. The company also leveraged its brand and platform advantages and use social media marketing channels to help poor people escape poverty and increase income. It has vigorously promoted “one village one product” model to develop characteristics industries for Luci Township, which has provided nearly 100 jobs for local villagers.
To promote poverty alleviation through consumption, CECEP Solar Energy Technology Central China Branch also works to facilitate marketing for stagnant agricultural and sideline products from poor areas of Hubei as a result of the impact of the epidemic.
