As the COVID-19 pandemic continues spreading beyond China and the situation becomes increasingly complex, China Geo-Engineering Corporation (CGEC), a subsidiary of CECEP, quickly formulated detailed emergency plans, established and improved the risk precaution system and emergency response mechanism, and prepared enough anti-epidemic materials to meet the demand of overseas employees. Moreover, it set up a WeChat group of families of its overseas employees to learn about the needs of employees’ families and help them solve difficulties in a timely manner.
The Cote d'Ivoire branch of CGEC keeps abreast of the situation of their employees’ families and alleviated their concerns. The Southern Africa branch increased the scale of vegetable planting and animal husbandry in its management department, representative office and project camps to guarantee the reserves of living supplies. The Party committee of its Middle East branch organized Party members to fill the void of employees who couldn’t return to their posts from China due to travel restrictions. It paid equal attention to epidemic control and production resumption, and delivered several projects that passed assessment with high scores. Its team responsible for the flood drainage pipeline projects in suburban Buraydah and Prince Naif Road was awarded the title of “Advanced Contractor” by the Qassim Urban Management Administration. The 211-C02 Ras hair field development project in Jubail won the title of “Honorary Member for Quality” of the Royal Commission of Saudi Arabia, the highest honor for project quality in the country.
