On May 21, the third session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China’s top political advisory body, opened in Beijing. Song Xin, a member of the CPPCC National Committee and chairman of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), attended the meeting and submitted six proposals on promoting unified heating in southern China, supporting the comprehensive protection of the Yangtze River through green financing, establishing and improving the ecological product value realization mechanism, and others.
