To mark the fifth National Poverty Relief Day, which fell on October 17 this year, CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan headed a team on an inspection tour to Fuchuan, in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Songxian, in Henan Province, from October 15 to 19. In these two poverty-stricken counties which receive pairing assistance from CECEP, the team investigated the use of funds and the implementation of aid projects, acquired information about local industrial development, and conducted in-depth exchange with local county government officials.
From October 15 to 17, Chairman Liu visited Xinshi Village, to which CECEP has dispatched a staff member to serve as a village head, in Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi. There, Liu inspected the CECEP-aided safe drinking water project, habitat environment management project and employment-based poverty relief project to understand the progress of poverty relief work. CECEP will further expedite poverty alleviation efforts, he stressed. After the investigation, the New Era Health Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. under CECEP signed a framework agreement with the People’s Government of Fuchuan County on strategic cooperation in e-commerce poverty alleviation. Chairman Liu and his team also held talks with local officials on the challenges they faced in winning the battle against poverty.
From October 17 to 19, the team visited Shichang Village in Songxian County in Luoyang, Henan, where they inspected a wind power project, a 380-meter water well drilled in Lizhuang and a 630-meter water well in Shibangou.
