From December 20 to 22, CECEP Deputy CEO Yu Honghui headed a team to Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region for an inspection on the work of targeted poverty alleviation.
Yu and his team visited five villages, namely, Xiushui and Chashan villages in Chaodong Town, Panba Village in Xinhua Township, Daling Village in Chengbei Town and Xiawan Village in Liujia Township, where they toured technological greenhouses and fungi plantations, inspected new countryside construction in Fuchuan County, green ecological and characteristic planting industry, village treatment of domestic sewage and the CECEP-aided village roads project, and asked detailed questions about the development of rural tourism and its contribution to lifting local villagers out of poverty.
During their inspection tour, on behalf of CECEP, they also donated solar road lamps worth 1 million yuan to the county government, thanks to which roads across the five villages would be well-illuminated prior to the forthcoming Spring Festival.
Yu and his delegation also had talks with local governments leaders, sharing views on furthering targeted poverty alleviation. Yu stressed that CECEP will work wholeheartedly with Fuchuan County to explore ways of reducing poverty through industrial development and help Fuchuan win the tough battle against poverty.
