On the afternoon of May 15, the Group convened a plenary meeting of the Leading Group of the CECEP Yangtze River Economic Belt Pollution Control Platform to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and directives on promoting high-quality development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, review and deliberate on the Three-year Action Plan for the Yangtze River Protection drafted by CECEP, and deploy key tasks for the next phase.

Liao Jiasheng Meets Xiangyang City Leaders

On May 12, Liao Jiasheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of CECEP, welcomed Zhao Zhibin—member of the Standing Committee of Xiangyang Municipal Party Committee, director of the Organization Department and leader of the city’s Seventh Investment Promotion Delegation—and his entourage to CECEP Headquarters. Two China Geological Projects Named 2024 Global Models

On April 24, two infrastructure projects constructed by China Geo-engineering Corporation– the 12-city Water Supply Project in Côte d’Ivoire and the Marakabei-Monontsa Asphalt Road Upgrade Project in Lesotho – were selected as 2024 "Small yet Impactful" Model Demonstration Projects by the China International Contractors Association (CHINCA).

CECEP Solar’s Dalad Banner PV Desert Control Project Begins Construction

On March 25, CCTV-13’s Morning News reported on the commencement of CECEP Solar’s 500,000-kilowatt integrated photovoltaic (PV) desert control project in Dalad Banner, Inner Mongolia. A key initiative under China’s Three-North Shelterbelt Forest Program (TSFP), the project adopts a PV + Desert Control model, combining renewable energy generation with the ecological restoration of 51,000 mu (approximately 3,400 hectares) of desertified land.
