On September 13, the 2025 Seminar on Innovation in Realizing the Value of Ecological Products, co-hosted by CECEP Eco-Product Development Research Center, the People’s Government of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture and China University of Geosciences (Beijing), was successfully held in Shibadong Village, Huayuan County, Xiangxi Prefecture, Hunan Province. Liu Yongfu, member of the CPPCC National Committee, former Director of the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development, and President of the China Rural Development Volunteer Service Promotion Association, attended the event. Also delivering remarks were Liao Jiasheng, Chairman of CECEP, Liu Tao, Secretary of the Xiangxi Prefectural Party Committee, and Lei Yalin, Professor of China University of Geosciences (Beijing).
In his speech, Liao Jiasheng emphasized that as a central state-owned enterprise focused on energy conservation and environmental protection, CECEP has always upheld Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and the principle that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets”. The Group has fully implemented the Party and the state’s policies on ecological civilization, earnestly fulfilled its responsibility as the principal platform for pollution control in the Yangtze River conservation effort, and leveraged its full industrial chain in energy conservation and environmental protection. CECEP has taken the lead among central SOEs in researching and practicing ecological value transformation, supported localities in exploring paths for realizing the value of ecological products, and worked to advance the industrialization of ecology and the ecologization of industry. It strives to be a provider of ecological products, a driver of value transformation, and a participant in rural revitalization, contributing CECEP’s strength to building a beautiful China and promoting comprehensive rural revitalization.
Themed “Lucid Waters and Lush Mountains, Xiangxi for the Future—New Practices in Empowering Rural Revitalization and Enriching People through the Ecological Industry”, the seminar discussed topics including policy prospects for ecological product value realization during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, institutional innovations for the Two Mountains theory transformation, pathways for ecological industry development, and the integration of natural culture and ecological civilization. More than 200 representatives from government agencies, research institutions, central enterprises, universities, associations and public welfare organizations attended the event.
