Recently, the Central Rural Work Leading Group released its 2024 effectiveness assessment report on central government agencies’ targeted assistance programs. For the fifth year in a row, CECEP earned the highest-level “Good” evaluation.
In 2024, the Group rigorously implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping’s directives on agriculture, rural areas and farmers, and faithfully executed the decisions and directives of the Party’s Central Committee and the State Council. Drawing on its experiences from the Green Rural Revival Program, it leveraged its core strengths in energy conservation and environmental protection to reinforce precise aid efforts. The Group played an active role in promoting rural revitalization in locations including Song County, Luoyang, Henan Province, and Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County, Hezhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Its contributions included RMB 23 million in unconditional aid funding and RMB 187.38 million in conditional aid, as well as facilitating the introduction of RMB 2.51 million in unconditional aid and RMB 16.2 million in conditional aid. It secured RMB 12.01 million in investment and aid for consumption, provided financial assistance to 210 disadvantaged college students, and trained 2,101 agricultural-affiliated officials. In total, its support for consumption reached RMB 12.07 million. These efforts by CECEP have made a significant contribution to building beautiful, job friendly villages.
