Song Xin Invited to Attend 2024 FOCAC Summit

From September 4 to 6, the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit was held in Beijing, with the theme of "Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future". On September 5, President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony at the Great Hall of the People and delivered a keynote speech titled “Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a Community with a Shared Future”. On September 6, Premier Li Qiang participated in the 8th China-Africa Business Summit, delivering remarks. Representatives from China and Africa discussed two key topics: "Integrating Industrial and Supply Chains" and "Promoting the Development of Emerging Industries", sharing successful cooperation experiences and exploring new opportunities presented by the summit. Song Xin, Chairman of CECEP, attended these events.

In his keynote address, President Xi reviewed the history of China-Africa relations and announced the elevation of bilateral ties with all African nations to a strategic partnership. He raised the overall positioning of China-Africa relations to an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era. Xi also outlined ten partnership initiatives to drive modernization between China and Africa, injecting new momentum into the higher-level, deeper and broader cooperation between the two sides. His speech mapped out a new blueprint for China-Africa cooperation in the new era, guiding the development of a high-level community and promoting high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, which garnered enthusiastic responses from participants and the international community.

Since the launch of the Belt and Road Initiative, CECEP has balanced both "going global" and "bringing in" through high-quality projects that enhance its corporate image. With a commitment to cooperation and connectivity, CECEP has earned praise for its reliable, high-quality and efficient project execution. The company has designed or built projects in over 40 countries and regions, including Algeria, Tanzania, Rwanda and Zimbabwe. These projects span critical sectors such as road and bridge construction, well drilling and water supply, farmland improvement, solar-powered irrigation, school and hospital construction, stadium development, reservoir and dam building, and power transmission. These efforts have made significant contributions to improving the livelihoods of African countries and promoting local economic growth.
