On November 7, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) held the 7th China Enterprise Forum - State-owned Enterprise Social Responsibility Parallel Forum in Beijing, where Du Le, member of CECEP Party Committee and deputy general manager, attended the event.
At the forum, the Central Enterprises Responsibility Management· Pioneer 30 Index (2024) was released, with CECEP being listed for the third consecutive year and reaching the four-star Excellent level, placing it among the top-ranking central enterprises.
Additionally, the Blue Book Series on Central Enterprise Social Responsibility was unveiled. One of the featured cases was by CECEP subsidiary, China Geo-engineering Guinea-Mali Branch, titled Green Energy Lights Up African Villages – China’s Solar Demonstration Village Project in Mali, which was selected as one of the Top Ten Cases in the Central Enterprise Overseas Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Blue Book (2024). This is the first time a CECEP case has made this prestigious list. Another case by China Geo-engineering Beijing Geotechnical on ecological restoration, titled With the Mountains as a Canvas and Vegetation as the Brush: Three Key Measures Supporting Mine Ecological Rehabilitation, was also included in the Central Enterprise Social Responsibility Blue Book (2024).
The social responsibility reports of central enterprises for 2023 were also highlighted at the event. The CECEP 2023 Social Responsibility Report, which outlined the company’s latest achievements in social responsibility management and practices, was included in this collection. This marks the 13th consecutive social responsibility report by the Group and the ninth consecutive year that CECEP has received a five-star rating from the China Corporate Social Responsibility Report Evaluation Expert Committee.
