On October 22, Du Le, Deputy General Manager of CECEP, met with Omar Zawawi, Executive Vice President of the Saudi Power Procurement Company, at the CECEP Building. The two sides held in-depth discussions on areas such as clean energy project investment and development. Both parties expressed a commitment to leveraging their respective strengths to explore cooperation in clean energy development and engineering construction, aiming to contribute to global low-carbon development and continue their involvement in the Belt and Road Initiative.
The Saudi Power Procurement Company, a state-owned enterprise under the Saudi Ministry of Energy, is the sole public electricity purchaser in Saudi Arabia. It is responsible for electricity transactions, future capacity planning, establishing new business partnerships, and overseeing the monitoring and implementation of independent power projects.
Representatives from CECEP Cooperation Department, CECEP Solar, CECEP Wind-power, and China Geo-engineering Corporation also attended the meeting.
