From October 10 to 12, Song Xin, Chairman of the Group, visited China Geo-engineering Corporation Middle East branch and project sites for research.
Song Xin received reports from both the Middle East branch of China Geo-engineering Corporation and its Saudi branch, recognizing the achievements made in the region. He also addressed current challenges and provided specific guidance for the next phase of work: 1. Strengthen alignment with national policies, implementing the Belt and Road Initiative and the key messages from President Xi Jinping’s speech at Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, while upholding the responsibilities of state-owned enterprises. 2. Review past experiences, resolve historical issues, reduce potential losses, and reinforce the foundation for company growth, with strict prohibition of false trade practices. 3. Improve internal processes, enhance compliance, strengthen department oversight, and raise cost-control awareness. 4. Actively explore new markets, promote business collaboration within subsidiaries, and use new opportunities to address existing challenges. 5. Refine the company’s development strategy, focusing on core business areas and deepening engagement in the Saudi market. 6. Increase brand awareness and strengthen company culture. 7. Improve leadership, ensure a positive political environment, and enhance the workforce, with attention to overseas employees' occupational health. 8. Strengthen safety, environmental protection and risk management at project sites.
During the visit, Song Xin inspected several work sites, including project offices, the Ras Al Khair asphalt plant, the Abyam steel structure factory, and extended greetings to both Chinese and foreign employees. He also visited the Saudi solar project by China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. to discuss cooperation.
Representatives from the Group's Office, Strategic Department, China Geo-engineering Corporation, Techand and CECEP Building Energy Conservation Co., Ltd. participated in the visit.
