On June 1, the East Africa Branch of China Geo-Engineering Corporation (CGC), a second-tier subsidiary of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), signed a contract with Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) at TANROADS headquarters for the project of Upgrading of Mpemba-Isongole Road (50.3 KM) to Bitumen Standard. With a contract value of US>47.91 million and a contractual construction period of 24 months, the project is funded by the Tanzanian government.
On June 1, the unveiling ceremony of SUC International Exchange and Practice Base for Sustainable Community was held at CECEP Shanghai International Energy Conservation & Environmental Protection Park. CECEP CEO Wang Tongzhou attended and addressed the ceremony.
On May 23, 2017, CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan met with David Aikman, World Economic Forum’s chief representative officer for Greater China. In their talks they agreed that there is huge room for cooperation between CECEP and the World Economic Forum. They also held in-depth discussions on strengthening their cooperation.
On May 4, China Geo-Engineering Corporation (CGC), a second-tier subsidiary of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), successfully won the bid to build experts’ dormitories for the China-aided Kiir Mayardit Women’s Hospital in South Sudan. The project will break ground on August 15, 2017.
On May 8, CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan met with Christian Dieffenbacher, CEO of the Dieffenbacher Group, and his entourage. Both sides exchanged views on possible cooperation in solid waste treatment and biomass energy development.
On April 17, the Middle East Branch of China Geo-Engineering Corporation (CGC), a second-tier subsidiary of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), signed contracts with Saudi Royal Commission on three projects namely, site development in Ras Al Khair Industrial City under Contract 211-C02, Dumpsite Phase II under Contract 034-C16 and ports and roads construction in Area A under Contract 082-C07, in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Total values of the contracts amount to US>160 million.
On April 13, 2017, CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan met with Cheryl Martin, a member of the managing board of the World Economic Forum, at the CECEP headquarters in Beijing. They discussed potential cooperation opportunities between the two sides, agreed to set up a platform for communication, and vowed to give full play to their respective advantages to advance cooperation and realize win-win development.
On April 15, 2017, CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan attended China Green Finance Summit and delivered a speech. In the speech he reviewed CECEP’s practice in green credit, green bond and green fund, and its endeavors to promote green finance.
