On March 28, a 27-member “Green Finance” delegation from Latin America and the Caribbean, jointly organized by the People’s Bank of China and Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), arrived at CECEP headquarters in Beijing. Apart from IDB representatives, the delegation also consisted of government officials and financial professionals from eight countries, namely, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay.

CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan met with visiting Dongfang Electric Corporation (DEC) Chairman Zou Lei on March 9, 2017. Liu said the two companies have maintained a solid foundation for long-term, smooth cooperation, and their businesses are highly complementary. He hoped that CECEP and DEC could seize the opportunity of coordinated development of central SOEs (state-owned enterprises), and deepen and extend their strategic partnerships on the basis of existing cooperation in new energy and environmental protection equipment. Mr. Zou agreed that there is huge room for cooperation between the two companies, and hoped they would enhance cooperation to realize mutual development.
Hechi is among the six pilots to first implement this program. Based on its experience in preventing and treating heavy metal contamination, the city decided to contract consulting services to competitive companies to ensure effective prevention and remediation of soil pollution in the region.
On February 22, the Middle East Branch of China Geo-Engineering Corporation (CGC), a second-tier subsidiary of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), signed a contract with Saudi Royal Commission to construct 531-C71 Al-Andalus, Al-Defi and Najed parks in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
