After the outbreak of pneumonia caused by a novel coronavirus, the Party committee of New Era Health Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CECEP, immediately held an enlarged meeting to convey General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on epidemic prevention and control work as well as the spirit of the meeting of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau on the issue, and arranged work of epidemic prevention and control. The group’s leadership required its frontline production enterprises to immediately allocate urgently needed materials and quickly join the battle against the epidemic.

In the face of the fast-spreading epidemic of pneumonia infected by novel coronavirus throughout the country, and following the unified deployment of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council and the requirement of the Party committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Party committee of CECEP has taken the epidemic prevention and control as the paramount task at present, and mobilized, deployed and strengthened related work in an all-round way. Seven medical waste disposal enterprises of CECEP Ecotech Co., Ltd. launched emergency plans as more than 500 staff members worked through the holidays to fulfill their duty. As the “angel” behind the “angel in white,” the medical waste disposal enterprises are firmly taking on the heavy task of safeguarding public health.

Recently, the Baishui 20MW agricultural-photovoltaic project, constructed by China Qiyuan Engineering Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “China Qiyuan”) under CECEP for CGC Energy Co., Ltd., was named a “2019 Excellent Petrochemical Engineering Project.”

Recently, the centralized steam-turbine H.B.P. heating supply project, constructed by China Qiyuan Engineering Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “China Qiyuan”), a subsidiary of CECEP, in Baishui County for Shaanxi Xinyuan Power Generation Co., Ltd., was officially delivered to the power plant for commercial operation after successfully completing a 168-hour trial operation. This project is China’s first 50MW single-rotor H.B.P. heating supply renovation project, as well as the first 50MW H.B.P. heating supply unit renovated in Shaanxi Province.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation project of the People’s Palace of Comoros was held at the People’s Palace in Moroni, capital of Comoros, on December 28, 2019. The project is conducted under the aid of China Qiyuan Engineering Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “China Qiyuan”), a subsidiary company of CECEP.

2019 marked the first year of the commercial use of 5G. On December 30, 2019, the 7th China Enterprise New Media Annual Meeting was held in Xiongan New Area, one of the first “national pilot zones for the innovative development of the digital economy” and one of the earliest cities achieving commercial use of 5G, under the theme of “5G All Media Era.”

The 2019 annual conference of China Enterprise Innovation Forum, sponsored by the Chinese Association of Productivity Science, was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on December 29. Yu Honghui, CEO of CECEP, attended the event and delivered a speech.

Chinese State Councilor Wang Yong visited Lesotho and held a seminar of Chinese enterprises in Africa from December 13 to 15, 2019. Song Xin, chairman of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), attended the seminar and then conducted a survey on the Lesotho project division of the Southern Africa branch of China Geo-Engineering Corporation (CGC).
