Carbon peak and carbon neutrality have become the buzzwords of the moment, which represent part of the key tasks for this year. As the head of a central enterprise engaged in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection, Song Xin, a member of the CPPCC National Committee, put forward practical proposals for achieving the carbon peak and carbon neutrality targets based on the company’s in-depth research.

The fourth session of the 13th National People’s Congress (NPC) and the fourth session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), known as the “two sessions,” took place in Beijing recently. CECEP Chairman Song Xin, also a member of the CPPCC National Committee, attended the two sessions and presented proposals on green development of the country.

China National Association of Finance Companies (CNAFC) organized a selection of excellent cases of Chinese financial firms in the performance of social responsibilities in 2020, in an effort to enhance fulfillment and management of corporate social responsibility. The results of the selection were recently unveiled. The case “Building a Green Finance Company and Pushing Forward Construction of a Pollution Control Platform for the Yangtze River Economic Belt” of CECEP Finance Co., Ltd. won the company an Award for Best Performance of Social Responsibility in Environmental Protection.

During the Spring Festival holiday, all subsidiaries of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP) spared no efforts to guarantee water, electricity and heating supply, treatment of domestic waste, hazardous waste and medical waste, and others related to people’s livelihoods. During the period, CECEP treated 55.8 million tons of water, 380,000 tons of domestic waste, more than 800 tons of medical waste and more than 700 tons of hazardous waste and generated green power of 387 million kWh

On the morning of February 25, a national commendation conference was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to mark the country’s accomplishments in poverty eradication. Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, presented awards and certificates to national honorary title recipients

On February 9, CECEP Chairman Song Xin visited headquarters of China Datang Corporation Ltd. and conducted in-depth discussions with China Datang Chairman Zou Lei on further deepening cooperation between the two sides.

On January 28, 2021, CECEP Fund Management Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of CECEP Capital Holdings Co., Ltd. under China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), participated in an interview on the “One ADB” approach via video link at an invitation of Asian Development Bank (ADB).

In January 2021, the Finance Bureau of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) awarded CECEP Fund Management Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CECEP Capital Holdings Co., Ltd. under China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), honorary titles of “Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region’s Leading Enterprise in Green Development” and “Financial Firm with Outstanding Contribution”. The Finance Bureau hopes that CECEP Fund, with an aim at high-quality development, will continue to improve its business operation and management, accelerate the pace of growth and expansion, and create new achievements in quality and efficiency, so as to make greater contributions to the development of the TEDA.
