China National Environmental Protection Group (CNEPG), a subsidiary of CECEP, was established in 1985 and is a national environmental protection platform established by the former State Environmental Protection Administration. It has taken the lead in building demonstration projects such as grate furnace waste incineration power generation, toxic and hazardous solid waste treatment, high-temperature medical waste treatment, and sludge incineration power generation, with hundreds of projects under construction and operation. The Solid Waste Ecological Recycling Industrial Park in Linyi has formed a comprehensive solution for urban solid waste that can be replicated and promoted. The industrial park won the second prize of the 2020 National Science and Technology Progress Award.

CECEP has a complete industrial chain for water treatment, covering raw water supply, tap water supply, domestic sewage treatment, industrial wastewater treatment, comprehensive water environment management, etc, with a daily water treatment scale of 13 million tons. Its subsidiary CECEP Guozhen (stock code: 300388) has won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2009, 2012 and 2020 for three times. General Water of China Co.,Ltd has been selected as the Top Ten Influential Enterprises in the National Water Industry for consecutive years, and ranks among the top three of China's Top Ten Influential Enterprises in the Water Industry.

CECEP is one of the earliest domestic enterprises engaged in soil and groundwater pollution remediation and heavy metal treatment. The business covers many aspects such as mines, wasteland, river basin water bodies and lake sediments, and has undertaken nearly 100 polluted sites and groundwater restoration projects in 21 provinces and cities. It is the contractor of the National Environmental Protection Industrial Contaminated Site and Groundwater Remediation Engineering Technology Center. It won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2016.CECEP has rich experience in tailings pond design, governance, tailings water treatment and solving major tailings dam safety and environmental protection issues. It has completed more than 100 projects of various types and won 6 provincial and ministerial-level science and technology progress awards.

CECEP takes environmental monitoring and testing as its development guidelines, and at the same time conducts certification consulting business, providing comprehensive services of monitoring, testing, certification and accreditation consulting for the government, enterprises, scientific research institutes and end consumers.
