On August 21, 2018, CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan met with Tu Ruihe, Head of the UN Environment China Office, and his delegation at CECEP’s headquarters in Beijing. Both sides had in-depth discussions on regional energy system, construction of a Green Belt and Road and other topics, agreeing that international advanced concepts and practices in ecological field should be introduced and cooperation should be deepened to implement key projects such as coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Xiongan New Area.
China’s first batch of corrugated denitration catalysts developed by Qiyuan (Xi’an) Dae Young Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., (Qiyuan Dae Young) a subsidiary of CECEP, realized commercial production in Xi’an, filling a domestic gap. Corrugated denitration catalysts are widely used in purifying oxynitride discharged by gas-fired power generating boilers, gas waste heat boilers, or industrial boilers. The performance of the catalysts has reached the technological level of imported products, but features low price, short delivery period and easy-to-get services. At present, its application for patent has been accepted.
After two years of intensive preparations, the Zambian Industrial Park funded by China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd. (CNBM) welcomed an inauguration ceremony on July 26. Zambian President Edgar Lungu and Zambian Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry among other governmental officials attended the ceremony and visited the sintered brick production line at the industrial park, which was contracted by CECEP Shuangyashan Oriental Wall Material Group Co., Ltd. (Oriental Group).

Recently, the research and development projects for distributed garbage treatment equipment and distributed wastewater treatment equipment led by CECEP Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd. and its subsidiary, CECEP L&T Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., respectively passed the evaluation and were included into the first batch of projects for major scientific and technological innovation funded by China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP).
China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association held an evaluation meeting on the scientific and technological achievements of the research on the application of treating waste printed circuits boards by pyrometallurgic methods and related demonstrative projects in Shantou, Guangdong Province on July 20, 2018. After onsite inspection on the demonstrative production line and hearing the special report followed by questioning section, the evaluation penal made up by seven prestigious experts in China’s metallurgy and environmental protection fields reached a unanimous conclusion: the project finished by CECEP based on its independent intellectual properties has reached international advanced level.
On July 19, 2018, the second generation of world’s first trussed robot for stack installation of iron cores manufactured by CECEP Xi’an Qiyuan Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. (SDRI) was officially delivered for operation, marking the beginning of commercial production of the equipment in real sense.
On July 19, 2018, China Qiyuan Engineering Corporation held talks with Shaanxi Province Institute of Water Resources and Electric Power Investigation and Design (SWEI), and signed cooperation agreement on participating in ecological restoration and environmental protection as part of the “Greater Protection of the Yangtze River” project and promoting watershed management. Lei Ming, director of the Cooperation Development Department of CECEP, Hao Xiaogeng, CEO of China Qiyuan, and SWEI President Li Youcheng attended the signing ceremony.
