On July 9, CECEP Deputy CEO Liu Dajun was invited to the opening ceremony of the summit for entrepreneurs across the Taiwan Strait and delivered a speech at the seminar on cross-Strait cooperation between enterprises engaged in energy conservation and environmental protection.

On July 8, CECEP Deputy CEO Li Jie met with Egawa Takeshi, director and deputy CEO of Mitsubishi Electric (China) Co., Ltd., and his entourage. The two sides discussed the application of Mitsubishi electric products in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection, and both expressed a willingness to cooperate.

Recently, Chen Shuguang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of CECEP, led a team inspecting the Middle East Branch, the Central and Eastern Africa Branch and the East Africa Branch of China Geo-Engineering Corporation (CGC) under CECEP to gain a deeper understanding of project construction

From May 27 to 30, Yu Honghui, CEO and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of CECEP, headed a team into Songxian County, Henan Province, and Fuchuan County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, to inspect CECEP’s targeted poverty alleviation work. In the two impoverished counties, Yu inspected CECEP-aided livelihood projects and industrial poverty alleviation projects, visited poverty-stricken households, and held talks with local leaders at county, township and village levels to understand the progress of poverty reduction in the two countries and discuss and explore a long-term mechanism and plans for sustained fight against poverty.

From May 19 to 23, a seven-member delegation of CECEP outside directors including Zhang Xiaolu, Ju Zhanghua, Jia Changbin, Li Xinya and Li Wenzhong visited King Diamond company in Spain. After field investigation of the company’s project for arsenic removal from drinking water in Villemiel, a satellite town of Madrid, and an urban sewage treatment plant in suburban Barcelona, delegation members gained an understanding of the characteristics and advantages of the water processing technology to be imported from King Diamond.

On the afternoon of May 13, the launching ceremony of “Great Protection of the Yangtze River by New SOEs” campaign, guided by the Online Review Department of the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission and the Bureau of Publicity of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC)

On April 28, the Pakistan China Trade and Investment Forum & Pakistani Prime Minister Luncheon was held in Beijing, attended by Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, Zhang Chunxian, vice chairman of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee, and Sha Zukang, former UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs and president of the China-Pakistan Friendship Association. Zheng Zhaohui, chief economist of CECEP and chairman of China National Environmental Protection Group (CNEP), was invited to spoke at the forum.

On April 18, CECEP Deputy CEO An Yi attended the 7th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair (CSITF) co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology, National Intellectual Property Administration and Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, and delivered a keynote speech.
