The year 2018 marks CECEP’s “Year of Technological Innovation.” The company has accordingly formulated Action Plan for Technological Innovation (2018), and the first group of 18 key innovation projects have been kicked off. So far, CECEP has set up 89 research and development institutes at various levels, including four national R&D institutes, 29 provincial- and ministerial-level institutes and one overseas R&D institute, and received 214 scientific research awards at and above the provincial and ministerial level, including a First Prize of State Technological Invention Award (2015), a Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award (2016) and a Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award (2017), alongside 2,183 authorized patents and 466 authorized intention patents. In addition, it has played a lead role in 200 scientific research projects at and above the provincial and ministerial level, and presided over and participated in the formulation of 269 national and industry standards.

On July 19, 2018, the second generation of world’s first trussed robot for stack installation of iron cores manufactured by CECEP Xi’an Qiyuan Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. (SDRI) was officially delivered for operation, marking the beginning of commercial production of the equipment in real sense.

On June 6, 2018, the International Cleantech Summit & 3rd Annual Meeting of 3iPET kicked off at Beijing International Convention Center. Co-hosted by the Foreign Economic Cooperation Office of China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences and China Environment Chamber of Commerce, the event attracted some 500 participants including officials and executives from China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the World Bank, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and several foreign embassies, as well as experts and representatives from scientific research institutions, industry associations, social groups and Chinese and foreign environmental enterprises.

Good news has arrived for scientific and technological workers at CECEP. At the 2017 National Science and Technology Awarding Meeting held in Beijing on January 8, the “key technology of rotary multi-step pyrolytic incineration of hazardous wastes and coordinated pollutant control,” jointly developed by CECEP Dadi Environmental Remediation Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang University, won Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award.
