In honor of the 51st World Earth Day, which fell on April 22, China National Environmental Protection Group’s Cangzhou Company, affiliated to CECEP, launched an online “open day” activity themed “Cherish the Earth for Harmonious Coexistence between Man and Nature,” with an aim to disseminate knowledge about scientific waste incineration and garbage classification with texts and photos.
During the virtual “open day,” visitors could learn about the technology of generating power from waste on the company’s WeChat account and Cangzhou Daily via both texts and photos. The company also mobilized its employees to share relevant links through their WeChat Moments, so as to invite their relatives and friends to join the event.
This activity held during the COVID-19 outbreak is conducive to fostering the idea of ecological progress that features “harmonious coexistence between man and nature” and enhancing public awareness of environmental protection.
