On March 13, CCTV-13 News 30’ reported that the 110-ton-class Liqing-2 pintle liquid oxygen–kerosene engine, independently developed by CAS Space, successfully completed a long-duration test run. The test stand for this rocket engine was designed by New Era (Xi’an) Design Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CQEC.

The test stand is a key ground verification platform for the development of medium- and large-scale liquid rocket engines and reusable technologies in China, providing full-process testing support for rocket propulsion systems from development to mass production. To date, the Liqing-2 engine has completed five long-duration tests on this platform, with a cumulative test time of nearly 1,000 seconds, and all operational parameters have met the expected design targets.
The successful completion of this long-duration engine test marks a critical milestone in the development of China’s reusable rocket engines. It signifies a major breakthrough in the construction of infrastructure for liquid rocket engines in the field of reusable technology, providing solid technical support for the smooth development and reliability verification of reusable engines in China.
In recent years, New Era (Xi’an) Design Engineering Co., Ltd. has focused on the commercial aerospace sector, serving leading enterprises such as CAS Space and Space Pioneer, and has accumulated extensive experience in project consulting, design and whole-process management. Its related technical capabilities are at a leading level in China.
