On September 6, local time, the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia held a signing ceremony for the four bidding sections of the water supply and drainage construction project in the towns of Marneuli and Bolnisi in Georgia. He Chengzhou, general manager of Central Asia - Mongolia branch of China Geo-engineering Corporation, signed contracts with Mr. Guga, vice president of United Water Supply Company of Georgia.
The water supply and drainage construction project in the towns of Marneuli and Bolnisi in Georgia is funded by the Asian Development Bank while the owner is United Water Supply Company of Georgia. The total contract duration of the four bidding sections is 18 months and the total contract value is 39.03 million US dollars (equivalent to 270 million RMB). The main tasks of the project include the construction and repair of the primary water supply and sewage network, the new reservoir and pumping station in the main urban area of Marneuli, an important agricultural town in Georgia. It is the largest municipal water supply and livelihood project by the Georgian government in the past five years. This project is another one of the Central Asia-Mongolia branches after winning the bid of the Telavi water supply project in the Georgian market in 2021, marking a new stage in the consolidation and development of the Georgian infrastructure market by China Geo-engineering Corporation.
