On September 9th, the restoration and renovation project of Sindhupalchowk District Hospital in Nepal, which was designed and managed by CQEC, has officially started. CQEC is responsible for the project design, and the company's four-party supervisor is responsible for the project management.
The project hospital is located in Sindhupalchowk County, Nepal. The construction includes 1 new hospital complex building, 1 water pump room, 1 temporary medical waste storage station and 1 generator shed, supported by the construction of outdoor projects and some medical furniture and appliances, with a total construction area of about 3,790 square meters.
This is an important post-disaster reconstruction project of the Nepalese government and a major livelihood project during the pandemic period. In the early stage, due to the slow progress of land leveling, the failure to dismantle collapsed buildings in time, the serious road damage after the earthquake and other complicated factors, the construction of the project was delayed. To solve this problem, CQEC kept close contact with the Agency for International Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce, the national authorities of Nepal, etc. to establish a communication mechanism, strive for multiple support and promote the implementation of the project as soon as possible.
At the end of July this year, according to the Agency for International Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce, CQEC staff went to work in Nepal. All of them withstood the double test of continuous rainfall and COVID-19 pandemic, overcame difficulties, made overall plans and concerted efforts to speed up the preparatory work for the project, which laid a solid foundation for the full start-up of the project and the fulfilment of the annual targets.
As one of the 25 post-earthquake reconstruction projects promised by our government, this project also shoulders the significant responsibility of providing medical services to about 44,000 people in the whole Sindhupalchowk county. For the next step, CQEC will adhere to the concept of "quality is life; details determine success or failure" and the service principle of "dedication and perfection", strive to promote the project construction and management, complete the project construction with quality and quantity, and contribute to China's foreign aid cause and promote the high-quality co-construction of the Belt and Road Initiative to achieve more fruitful results in Nepal.
