The Groundbreaking Ceremony of China-aided Road Project on Moheli Island in Comoros Was Officially Held

On July 8, the groundbreaking ceremony of China-aided road project on Moheli Island in Comoros, undertaken by China Geological Engineering Group Co., Ltd., was held in Vanani Stadium. H.E. Comorian President Azali Assoumani with his wife, Abdou Moustadroine, the Speaker of the National Parliament, Sabuhani, Deputy Speaker, He Yanjun, Chinese Ambassador to Comoros, Comorian Minister of Land Planning and Urbanization, Minister of Transport, Minister of Telecommunications, Minister of Defence, Minister of Energy and Governor of Moheli Province attended the ceremony.

In his speech, He Yanjun said that thanks to the joint efforts of the Chinese and Comorian governments, this aid project started as scheduled on the occasion of the 47^th anniversary of Comoros’ independence. He pointed out that this project is of great significance to promoting the economic and social development of Moheli Island. At the groundbreaking ceremony, President Azali and Ambassador He Yanjun laid the foundation stone for the project.
