Innovation of science and technology is the foundation of enterprise's strength and source of power. All along, CECEP has placed it in a prominent position, constantly optimized its ecological environment and stimulated its dynamic vitality.
Over the past year, CECEP has continuously increased R&D investment, promoted the construction of high-level R&D platform, and deepened the integrated development of the industry, the academics, research institutions and users. A number of scientific and technological innovation results have continuously emerged. In 2021, CECEP increased the R&D investment by 20.7% year on year, with 10 new provincial-level R&D platforms, 9 new high-tech enterprises, and 406 new authorized patents, including 93 invention patents, and 4 national, provincial and industry standards.
In order to break the "innovation silo", CECEP has continuously deepened the collaborative innovation among the industry, the academics, research institutions and users, established a strategic cooperative relationship with 13 universities and research institutions such as Tongji University and Zhejiang University, and carried out the integrated innovation through cooperative research, joint R&D platform set-up and the implementation of technology demonstration projects. Among them, projects jointly developed by CECEP Environmental Equipment Co., Ltd., CNEPG, CECEP Guozhen together with Tsinghua University and Tianjin University won the first prize and two second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, which effectively enhanced the core competitiveness of CECEP.
While improving the level of collaborative innovation, it is also necessary to break through the "last mile" of the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. In order to speed up the transformation of scientific research achievements, CECEP selects more than 40 key technologies and adopts various means to promote the incubation of innovative technologies so as to effectively improve the transformation efficiency and success rate of scientific research achievements.
Innovation is the only way for enterprises to gain market competitive advantage. In order to further play the leading role of scientific and technological innovation, CECEP has designated 2022 as the "year of scientific and technological innovation".
Song Xin, member of the National Committee of the CPPCC, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of CECEP, said that in the future CECEP will firmly take the initiative of scientific and technological innovation to make a good start, continuously improve the innovation system and mechanism, speed up the integration of the industry, the academics, research institutions and users, and give full play to the leading role of central enterprises in scientific and technological innovation. By taking the lead to undertake national key research plans, major scientific and technological projects and research on bottleneck technologies, CECEP will intensify key technologies in the field of green and low carbon, lay out a number of tangible measures such as major scientific researches, actively create the "source" of original technologies, and strive to be the "leader" of industrial chains in subdivided fields.
Standing at the new starting point, CECEP has made important progress and breakthroughs, and won a wonderful start for the 14th Five-Year Plan.Facing the future, under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, CECEP will continue to promote the construction of ecological civilization and firmly establish the concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets". CECEP will contribute its own wisdom and strength to build a beautiful China with green mountains, clear waters and fresh air, realize the harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and build a shared community of life on earth.
