CECEP’s first month has got off to a flying start. Having fully implemented the requirements of SASAC meeting of the heads of central SOEs, CECEP has continuously tapped the market potential, opened up broader market space and accelerated the landing of key projects, with the confidence and resolve in “start means a sprint as well as a decisive battle”.
In January, the net profit of CECEP’s eco-environmental protection segment increased by 67% y-o-y, and the operating income of green building segment increased by 1.56 times y-o-y. The achievement is attributable to the effective arrangement of “ensuring a good start and striving to open a new chapter” since the year beginning. “Start always plays a decisive role in the entire work, and it is imperative to run the first leg well in carrying the baton of this year.” Song Xin, Party Secretary and Chairman of CECEP said at the kick-off meeting.
Good news of market development abounds. CECEP Guozhen Environmental Protection Technology, a subsidiary of CECEP, won the bid for the franchise project of sewage treatment plant and supporting pipe network in Economic Development Zone, Jishou City, Hunan Province, and the phase-II (EPCO) project of Gujing Township Sewage Treatment Plant, Bozhou City, Anhui Province in the form of a consortium, with the total value of contract reaching 715 million yuan. At the same time, CECEP Solar successfully signed four domestic orders for photovoltaic modules, as well as overseas orders for 103 MW photovoltaic modules, with a total purchase volume of 713 MW. Techand has made a new breakthrough in market development, successively winning the bid for the garden landscape project of Tencent Guangzhou Headquarters Building and the general contracting project of Qidu Township Environmental Improvement Project in Suzhou, which took a firm first step of high-quality development in the Year of the Tiger.
The slogan of “high efficiency is of paramount importance” is translated into concrete action. On January 19 and 22, Subei Mazongshan 50MW wind power project of Gansu Regional Company and Jingan 50MW wind power project in Jingyuan were successively connected to the grid in full capacity. So far, the grid-connected installed capacity of CECEP’s Gansu Regional Company has exceeded one million kilowatts, taking the lead in fostering one million wind power industry clusters in Gansu, further consolidating the tier-one group of new energy enterprises in Gansu. The 50MW wind power project in Beimazongshan only took 3 months to achieve grid connection in full capacity, and once again created the CECEP’s performance record of “as fast as the wind”.
High standards and innovation-driven development hold the key to core competitiveness. 2022 is CECEP’s Innovation Year in science and technology. Recently, the “High-standard, Low-carbon Integrated Technology for Urban Sewage Treatment with AAO Process” independently developed by CECEP Guozhen Environmental Protection Technology, has been evaluated by experts of the appraisal committee, and it is unanimously recognized that the technology has reached the internationally advanced level, and the direct operation cost has been reduced by 10%-20%, which has simultaneously achieved the synergistic effect of sewage treatment operation and management of energy saving, reduction of consumption, pollution and carbon emissions. On January 21, China National Association of Engineering Consultants officially announced the evaluation results of Grade A credit rating of engineering consulting units in 2022, and CECEP’s Environmental Protection Company, successfully obtained such credit rating.
