Recently, China Association of Construction Enterprise Management announced the Decision on Commendation to Projects Winning National Quality Engineering Award. The municipal solid waste incineration for power generation project in Pingdingshan City, a project developed by China Qiyuan Engineering Corporation (China Qiyuan), won the award.
The project is designed to treat 1,000 tons of household waste a day. It is equipped with two 500 t/d mechanical grate incinerators, two 43.4t/h heat recovery steam generators and one 20MW condensing steam turbines unit. The turbines are designed to generate 20 million kWh in total, and the maximum grid-connected load is 20MVA. The operation model of the project is to self-generate part of its energy consumption and turn the surplus electric power generated by the wind turbines into the power grid.
Established in 1981, the National Quality Engineering Award is the earliest and the highest-level national quality engineering award confirmed by the State Council to commend quality projects in the engineering and construction field covering multiple industries and disciplines.
