On September 15, the muck improvement and grass planting projects of the integrated management project (Bid Section 3) for Jiangcang No.4 and No. 5 mining pits and slag mountains in Muli Mining Area, Qinghai Province, which was undertaken by China Geo-Engineering Corporation, passed the provincial acceptance at one time with merits.
Since the implementation of the project, China Geo-Engineering Corporation has adhered to the concept of “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets,” coordinated systematic management of “mountains, rivers, forests, farmlands, lakes, grasslands and deserts,” centered on the ideas of comprehensive protection, system restoration, comprehensive treatment and overall restoration, focused on restoring vegetation, water conservation and biodiversity protection, and adopted the principle of “making use of the grasslands and waters where conditions permit” and measures such as natural restoration, human assistance and enclosure protection according to the degradation, damage degree and resilience of the ecosystem, so as to restore the ecosystem structure and functions, and enhance the ecosystem stability and comprehensive service functions. In the process of implementation, the company leaders attached great importance to the mission, made rational arrangements, required adoption of scientific methods, and stressed responsibilities in details. So far, the company has successfully completed the tasks of planting grass and restoring green for the year 2021, striving to build Jiangcang No.4 and No.5 pits in Muli Mining Area into demonstration projects of mine ecological restoration in alpine and plateau areas.
