On September 3, Taiyuan Energy Low-Carbon Development Forum 2021 opened in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech via video. Liu Dajun, deputy CEO of CECEP, was invited to attend the opening ceremony.
As an advocate and practitioner for green and low-carbon development, CECEP has been improving its consultancy, planning and resource coordination abilities for reaching the carbon neutrality target, and exploring the approach to high-quality development oriented to ecological conservation and green development, in a bid to intensify its support to China’s carbon emissions peaking and carbon neutrality strategies, enhance its contribution to green development and adaptation and mitigation in response to climate change, and boost the economic and social transformation toward green and low-carbon development.
The fact that CECEP was invited to attend the forum demonstrated the company’s brand image for green, low-carbon and high-quality development. With the theme of “Energy, Climate and Environment”, the forum was co-sponsored by Shanxi Provincial People’s Government and seven ministerial-level organizations, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and National Energy Administration. It is so far the only highest-standard forum to be jointly sponsored by multiple ministries and commissions in China.
