Song Xin, chairman of CECEP, said at the recent 2021 Half-year Work Conference of CECEP that in the face of the uncertain prospects of economic recovery and the still severe and complicated pandemic situation in the first half of the year, CECEP made great efforts to overcome the pressure to promote high-quality development, and made remarkable progress in various key tasks, laying a solid foundation for completing the annual goals and tasks and building CECEP into a “world-class group in energy conservation, environmental protection and health industry”, while making a contribution to China’s green development.
According to the report Song made at the meeting, the main business indicators of CECEP continued to improve, and its main business sectors such as energy conservation and clean energy supply, eco-environmental protection, life and health, green buildings, green new materials, green engineering services and strategic support all achieved profitability. The data shows that in the first half of the year, CECEP’s revenue increased by 31% year on year, and total profit increased by 41% year on year, reaching 89% of the annual assessment target of net profit.
CECEP’s core business indicators are showing positive momentum, the growth of market scale remains strong, and the main business sectors have been constantly optimized. The data shows that from January to June, CECEP’s green power installed capacity reached 13.2 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 2.92%; the power generation capacity was 11.685 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 26.41%, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 8.899 million tons and saving 3.57 million tons of standard coal; more than 9.66 million tons of solid waste was treated, an increase of 47.93% year on year, with a daily treatment capacity of solid waste at 102,400 tons that still ranks first in the industry; and water production and sewage treatment reached 1.534 billion tons, an increase of 85.2% year on year, with COD reduction totaling 237,300 tons, an increase of 1.33 times year on year. This series of sustainable development figures strongly explains CECEP, as a main force of ecological civilization construction, has made great efforts in promoting energy conservation and emission reduction and contributing to China’s goal of “carbon neutrality”.
In the first half of the year, according to the strategic arrangement of the “Year of Market Expansion,” the leadership of CECEP actively set up business contact with 16 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities including Fujian, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, Qinghai, Hainan, Jiangxi and Guizhou to consolidate the stock market and expand the incremental market. It signed strategic cooperation agreements or reached in-depth cooperation consensus with many provinces and cities. Subsidiaries at all levels of CECEP have made every effort to get orders, especially high-quality projects. By the end of June, the contracted amount of newly signed projects for CECEP had increased by 52.46% year on year.
It is particularly worth mentioning that, as the main platform for pollution control in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, CECEP has continuously worked for the “Great Protection of the Yangtze River,” and the demonstrative role of several projects built in pilot cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is increasingly prominent. At present, the ecological protection and restoration project in Jiayu County of Hubei Province, the “two parks and one chain” solid waste comprehensive utilization projects in Xianning and Bijie, the Hengyang project, the Huzhou serial project, and the Bijie township sewage treatment project are all progressing steadily. The ecological environment quality in these project areas has been significantly improved, and the level of green development has gradually increased.
