The 9th China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) Congress was held in Beijing on May 27. The meeting deliberated and adopted the CCOIC report on work, the revised CCOIC Constitution, and the list of member units of CCOIC council. Song Xin, chairman of CECEP, spoke at the congress on behalf of the new council members.

Song Xin appreciated CCOIC’s role as an important force helping Chinese enterprises go global and achieve high-quality development, an international platform for promoting cooperation between Chinese and foreign companies, and an anchor for Chinese companies looking to grow their global footprint.

“CECEP is willing to, under the guidance and assistance of the CCOIC, actively implement the Belt and Road Initiative and strive to promote Chinese green energy to go global,” Song said. “During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, CECEP will focus on countries along the Belt and Road to construct a number of influential projects on energy conservation and environmental protection, while introducing advanced technologies from foreign countries to enhance the company’s international expansion and improve brand building globally.”

Accomplishment of the “carbon peak and carbon neutrality” goals requires joint efforts of CCOIC and all its member units, Song stressed, noting that CECEP will pay equal attention to “bringing in” and “going global” in terms of zero-carbon technology R&D and zero-carbon demonstration models, so as to provide cost-effective key technologies and services for even more sectors aiming at carbon neutrality and promote comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development.
