CECEP: Fulfilling Its Duty to Guarantee Supplies for People’s Livelihoods

During the Spring Festival holiday, all subsidiaries of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP) spared no efforts to guarantee water, electricity and heating supply, treatment of domestic waste, hazardous waste and medical waste, and others related to people’s livelihoods. During the period, CECEP treated 55.8 million tons of water, 380,000 tons of domestic waste, more than 800 tons of medical waste and more than 700 tons of hazardous waste and generated green power of 387 million kWh, ensuring ceaseless supply of public utilities and enabling people to spend a happy, secured Spring Festival in the Year of the Ox. In January, all business indexes of CECEP saw significant growth compared to the same period of last year. Its revenues increased by 15.31% year-on-year, and its profit rate by 12.25%, with EVA reaching 435.70% of the year’s planned goal. Moreover, its total profit and net profit both witnessed remarkable growth, marking a “good start” of the year.

Ensuring Water Security and Supply

Water treatment and supply enterprises under CECEP have made every effort to ensure water security and supply for local residents. All of its water plants in more than 20 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions around China adopt strict measures on entry/exit control, strengthen patrol at water source areas, and upgrade tap water production techniques and requirements to ensure water quality meets relevant safety regulations. During the Spring Festival period, the enterprises produced and treated a total of 55.8 million tons of water.

Solid Waste Disposal around the Clock

During the Spring Festival holiday, all garbage treatment companies of CECEP increased the working shifts, ensured all equipment operate well, and treated waste with the highest standards to prevent secondary pollution. In the period, they totally treated more than 800 tons of medical waste and over 700 tons of hazardous waste. All domestic waste treatment plants worked around the clock. As the amount of domestic waste increased sharply during the Spring Festival period, CECEP’s solid waste treatment companies in more than 20 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions around China did their utmost to enhance treatment efficiency, and treated about 380,000 tons of domestic waste during the period alone.

Ceaseless Supply of Green Power

Following the principles of “guaranteeing power supply, enhancing efficiency, increasing profits, and promoting development,” the wind, solar and biomass power plants under CECEP are committed to safe production and power supply while strictly implementing power supply standards. During the Spring Festival period, they totally generated green power of 387 million kWh.
