The COVID-19 pandemic has swept across more than 200 countries and regions around the world, becoming a common challenge faced by the whole mankind. At this exceptional juncture, all of you – more than 11,000 employees of 61 overseas branches of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP) in 51 countries and regions, as well as your families, stand the severe test and take on the heavy responsibility for epidemic prevention and control by continuing to work with great courage, diligence and dedication, making due contributions to fighting the pandemic and maintaining steady, safe and sustained development of our overseas business. At present, the global epidemic situation is still serious and complex. Chinese President Xi Jinping recently talked on the phone with heads of state of several countries to promote international cooperation on epidemic control from the perspective of building a community with a shared future for humanity. CECEP has earnestly implemented the important instructions of President Xi and the requirements of the Party Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council on overseas epidemic prevention and control, and convened several meetings to discuss and arrange the work concerning overseas epidemic control, in which we always put the safety and health of our overseas employees first. China New Era Group Corporation, China Geo-Engineering Corporation, Valiant Corporation Ltd., CECEP Wind Power Corporation, CECEP (Hong Kong) Investment Co., Ltd., CECEP Chongqing Industry Co., Ltd. and China Qiyuan Engineering Corporation took prompt actions to formulate plans to address challenges, improve the risk precaution and emergency response mechanism, and prepare enough anti-epidemic supplies to meet the needs of our overseas employees. Our overseas branches and projects place top priority on the safety and health of their employees, and provide all assistance and support they can to ensure everyone enjoys a safe working environment and a secured life.
CECEP always cares about your safety and health. You should abide by local requirements on epidemic control in the countries and regions where you are working, learn knowledge about epidemic prevention and control, and take science-based measures to prevent infections. While protecting yourself well, you should stick to your posts and take on your responsibilities in spite of difficulties. CECEP will make every effort and provide necessary support to ensure the safety and health of every overseas employee. The development of CECEP’s overseas business is also attributed to the strong support and selfless dedication of our overseas employees’ families. Let’s build solid defensive lines on both epidemic control and work resumption, and make due contributions to fulfilling our production and operation targets set for this year and winning total victory in the global war against the pandemic.
