On April 17, the Middle East Branch of China Geo-Engineering Corporation (CGC), a second-tier subsidiary of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), signed contracts with Saudi Royal Commission on three projects namely, site development in Ras Al Khair Industrial City under Contract 211-C02, Dumpsite Phase II under Contract 034-C16 and ports and roads construction in Area A under Contract 082-C07, in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Total values of the contracts amount to US$160 million.
With a contract value of US$70.19 million and a contractual construction period of 156 weeks, the site development in Ras Al Khair Industrial City mainly consists of roads, water supply, sewage treatment, rain drainage, low-voltage and medium-voltage power supply, and communications. With a contract value of US$34.13 million and a contractual construction period of 156 weeks, Dumpsite Phase II is aimed at moving 3 million cubic meters of earth for the expansion of the dumpsite. With a contract value of US$55.146 million and a contractual construction period of 152 weeks, major works under Contract 082-C07 include building six bridges, placing 7 million cubic meters of backfill, roads construction and drainage and lighting systems for the roads.
