On April 18, Deputy CEO Yu Honghui met with a delegation led by Ms. Arianna Censi, deputy mayor of Milan, Italy, at Jieneng Building, the headquarters of CECEP.
Yu gave a brief introduction to the CECEP’s history, development and major projects inthe fields of energy conservation, environmental protection and healthcare that have been launched in recent years. He said that as China’s only central state-owned enterprise mainly engaged in energy conservation and environmental protection, CECEP has made great efforts in promoting green development while implementing the Belt and Road Initiative, and that the company attaches great importance to cooperation with Italian partners. He also noted that the city of Milan has advanced technology and rich managerial experience in waste treatment and circular economy, and expressed that CECEP is willing to build closer business relations with Milan and work together to facilitate cooperation in energy technology and ecological improvement, as well as industry-university-research collaboration, so as to achieve mutual benefits, win-win results and joint development.
Censi introduced the basic facts about the city of Milan and the delegation’s schedule for this visit. Delegation representative then gave a presentation on Milan’s development in urban garbage treatment, circular economy, healthcare and new materials. Afterwards, the two sides shared their views on cooperation in such areas as environmental protection, resource recycling, healthcare and industry-university-research collaboration. Both sides agreed that their communication should be strengthened and pragmatic cooperation should be carried out based on their respective advantages, so that they can make contributions to economic cooperation and technical exchange between China and Italy in the fields of energy conservation, environmental protection and healthcare.
