Chairman Liu Dashan on a Field Study in Songxian County

From August 16 to 17, 2017, CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan led a team to study the company’s poverty alleviation work in Songxian County, Henan Province.

The team went to Shichang Village of Jiudian Township, to which it had sent a staff member to work as village Party secretary. There they met with local residents to learn their life and work conditions, inspected the village clinic and Zhanghualing Pig Farm built with CECEP donations, and did research on tourism development in the region. At Shichang Village Primary School Mr. Liu brought students school supplies as gifts, and encouraged them to achieve academic excellence. In Shibangou Village, which is in a remote location, he visited poor-off farmers and expressed the care and support of CECEP staff.

At Songxian No. 1 High School Mr. Liu attended a donation event for students from low-income families. The donation is from a CECEP program for poverty alleviation, which offers financial assistance to 100 poor students every year for them to complete college education. The program, now in the fourth year, will extend into coming years, Liu said. The company will also help local college students find internships and jobs, he added.
