On August 28, China International Energy Forum 2017 opened at China National Convention Center in Beijing. It was jointly hosted by China Machinery Industry Federation, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and CECEP. CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan delivered a speech at the forum.
In the speech Mr. Liu said energy is a critical foundation for social and economic development, and the exploration and use of energy is of great concern to the international community. Since the start of the 12th Five-Year Plan period (2011-2015) China has accelerated the transition to green, clean, and low-carbon energy, which makes significant contributions to the country and the world’s efforts to fight climate change and realize sustainable development. As the only central SOE in China whose core business is energy conservation and environmental protection, over past years CECEP has espoused the idea of green development and remained a major participant and propeller of China’s transition to green energy. The company stands ready to join hands with other sectors of the society to boost the growth of China’s energy industry and its green development.
China International Energy Forum is dedicated to technical innovation in the energy sector and industry-wide collaboration. Its annual meeting has gained broad attention from energy companies in and outside China, and is deemed a “wind vane” event in the industry.
