On September 12, CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan met with Eric Solhei, chief of United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), at CECEP headquarters in Beijing. They exchanged ideas on issues such as urban energy projects and regional energy assessment criteria, and signed an MoU, the first between UNEP and a Chinese company engaged in energy conservation and environmental protection. The document is expected to help Chinese companies in this sector to embrace international rules and practices and promote Chinese environmental technologies globally.
