From September 18-20, the Annual Meeting of the New Champions of the World Economic Forum (WEF), also known as Summer Davos, was held at Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center in Tianjin. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech. At an invitation of Professor Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the WEF, China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP) Chairman Liu Dashan attended the opening ceremony, a luncheon for Chinese central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and a Serbian governmental delegation and other related events of the forum.
On September 19, Liu Dashan accompanied Xiao Yaqing, head of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of China’s State Council, to attend a luncheon for Chinese central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) a Serbian governmental delegation and hold a meeting with Professor Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the WEF, and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. Chairman Liu introduced the general situation of the CECEP and expressed that the company is willing to, under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, work with Serbian partners to strengthen information, science and technology exchanges and explore cooperation opportunities in the fields of infrastructure, energy and environmental protection with an aim to cement friendly relations between China and Serbia.
