China Qiyuan Signs Cooperation Agreement on ‘Greater Protection of the Yangtze River’ with SWEI

On July 19, 2018,China Qiyuan Engineering Corporation held talks with Shaanxi Province Institute of Water Resources and Electric Power Investigation and Design (SWEI), and signed cooperation agreement on participating in ecological restoration and environmental protection as part of the “Greater Protection of the Yangtze River” project and promoting watershed management. Lei Ming, director of the Cooperation Development Department of CECEP, Hao Xiaogeng, CEO of China Qiyuan, and SWEI President Li Youcheng attended the signing ceremony.

During the talks, leaders from both sides introduced basic information about respective organizations. China Qiyuan is a wholly-funded comprehensive engineering design institute affiliated to CECEP, and SWEI is the only design institute for ecological conservation under the Ministry of Water Resources. Both with a history of more than 60 years, they are experienced in engineering investigation, planning, consulting, design, and project construction and management, and have great cooperation potential in the fields of watershed management, river ecological management and comprehensive solutions to energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Lei Ming said that as a major platform for pollution control along the Yangtze River Economic Belt, CECEP is carrying out watershed management and ecological rehabilitation across the country. He expressed hopes that both sides will give full play to their technological and market advantages and jointly make due contributions to ecological improvement along the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

Hao Xiaogeng signed the agreement on behalf of China Qiyuan. According to the agreement, both parties will conduct all-round cooperation in such fields as comprehensive environmental solutions, watershed management, urban and rural environment improvement, new energy and integral energy utilization in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and other key areas for watershed management and work together to develop markets for watershed management and ecological restoration.

Other guests who attended the signing ceremony were China Qiyuan Deputy CEOs Xu Jingce and Ren Xingfu, Assistants to CEO Sun Anli, Ma Yong and Xie Fei, SWEI Vice Presidents Liu Haijiang and Wang Guangshe, as well as heads from related departments.
