On March 28, a 27-member “Green Finance” delegation from Latin America and the Caribbean, jointly organized by the People’s Bank of China and Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), arrived at CECEP headquarters in Beijing. Apart from IDB representatives, the delegation also consisted of government officials and financial professionals from eight countries, namely, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay.
Delegation members showed great interest in the briefing delivered by CECEP on its business, and the two sides had discussions on topics such as CECEP’s foreign investment, the compilation of China’s Green Bond Endorsed Project Catalogue, and the development of wind power and solar power projects. Mr. Roberto Manrique, the delegation head and Principal Advisor at IDB, said that he and his fellows were pleased to visit CECEP and hoped to take this opportunity to learn from China’s experience in the development of green finance. He also invited CECEP to make investigative visits to related countries to explore cooperation opportunities between the two sides in the field of green finance.
