On August 27, the Shaanxi Society of Civil and Architectural Engineering announced the winners of its 10th Science and Technology Progress Award. CQEC’s New Era Design won the Special Prize for its project on green building theories, technologies and applications along the Western Silk Road.

In recent years, CQEC has earnestly implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and the principle that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets”. Actively responding to the national strategy for green development, the company has widely applied green building concepts and key technologies across Belt and Road partner countries and regions, as well as along China’s western Silk Road corridor. Representative projects include landmark and livelihood-focused works such as the renovation of Sindhupalchowk District Hospital in Nepal, the Weinan integrated solar-storage-charging new energy project, and the Ancient Sound of Dunhuang cultural tourism complex. These projects have achieved significant economic, social and environmental benefits.
